This is the http://microbit.org web page multi-lingual project for the BBC micro:bit. We welcome volunteer translators and proofreaders for existing language projects. Please do register with the project and contact a member of the team with any questions.

It is now possible to translate and proofread whilst viewing the microbit.org site, using the Page translate function. We are hoping that this will provide immediate context and simplify the process for you.
Using the Page Translate function, translations are made directly in the webpage, with no need to open the Editor. A simplified version of the Crowdin editor will be displayed, with all the functionality (translation memory, machine translation, approve/vote option, comments, terms) provided. This makes it easier to make and review translations, as it can be previewed in a real context.

Page Translate can be accessed via this link - https://microbit.org/page-translate/ and we've added an article here as an introduction https://support.microbit.org/support/solutions/articles/19000115242-translating-microbit-org

We are enabling children around the world to get creative with technology and invent in school, in clubs and at home! The micro:bit is a handheld, fully programmable computer given to every Year 7 child across the UK - and now being used around the world. It’s 70 times smaller and 18 times faster than the original BBC Micro computers used in schools in the early 1980s. Started by the BBC and a great team of partners, the Micro:bit Education Foundation is a non-profit organisation.

We also need your help over on the Crowdin project, MakeCode for micro:bit https://crowdin.com/project/kindscript . Please join us! Instructions and tips for translators are available at http://microbit.org/translate/

All contributions are covered under our Contributor License Agreement http://microbit.org/microbit-cla/

** Please note that we are currently working on adding a 'new' branch that will solve a number of the issues we've had with translating front matter. Translations will continue to come from the 'master' branch until we switch to this newer system, when we'll update all users about the change. **
